From the kitchen of Leslie Hall
My brother Jim came home from an A’s game with friends and told me he had just had the world’s best chocolate chip cookies. Leslie was kind enough to share her recipe and as it turns out, my brother was right!
- 1 pound Butter
- 1 pound Dark Brown Sugar
- 1-1/2 cups White Sugar
- 2 tablespoon Vanilla
- 3 Eggs
- 5-1/2 cups Flour
- 1-1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 4 cups Milk Chocolate Chips
- 2 cups Nuts (optional)
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Add flour, salt and baking soda until well combined. Stir in chips and nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes. Do NOT over-bake. Makes about seven dozen.
