From Whitehorse, Yukon Territory to Haines, Alaska
It was only about 120 miles from Whitehorse to Haines. Not a bad drive at all, even with a stop at the border. I will say that there is something about either Larry or I that screams GUNS. Even the US Border Patrol asked us if we had obtained any guns while we were in Canada. I didn’t even know you could buy a gun in Canada! They took our word for it, when we answered “no”, so no problems. Probably took five or ten minutes.
The drive was beautiful. I wouldn’t mind living there, expect for that pesky snow. Oh, and the bugs. And the fact that you can’t get fountain Diet Coke ANYWHERE! It makes for weird road trips! But beautiful. Hold please, I need to look up beautiful in Google. Alluring, definitely. Appealing, yes. Charming, can the landscape be charming? Cute, dazzling, delicate, delightful, elegant, exquisite… not sure if any of those fit. I guess I will stick with beautiful.
