Days 8 – 9 ~ Liard Hot Springs, British Columbia

Driving from Fort Nelson, British Columbia to Liard Hot Springs, British Columbia.

We stayed in Liard Hot Springs for two nights, so we could enjoy the hot springs! Great drive and fun time!

Oh, and we saw more wildlife on this section of the drive than any so far. We have seen fox and bear before on the trip, but we got pictures on this leg of both Stone Sheep and Bison. I had never seen Stone Sheep before, and definitely any kind of sheep this close. They told us that they like coming down to the highway to lick the salt from the roads.

The hot springs were yummy. Not crowded at all. They tried to keep it as natural as possible, while adding features that made it easy to access. A bath house and stairs, and a wooden boardwalk through a pretty swampy area. Bugs, lots of bugs. Totally worth a stop!
