Larry and I are with a 24 rig caravan (Fantasy RV Tours) going on a 62 day tour of Western Canada and Alaska. Day one was June 25th. We all met up in Anacortes, WA and spent two nights in the Fidalgo Bay RV Resort. More about that in my RV Park Notes.
The trip should be fun, there is a designated Wagon Master (Lorrin and Nyla). They lead this motley crew and leave first on each travel day. Brad and Susan are our Tail Gunners. They are the last rig to leave the campground and watch everyone’s backs. If you break down, they come along side and make sure you get to a safe place and find whatever resources you need. Great to have around.
There are some scheduled activities on the tour, but for the most part, we are left to our own devices. The group had a catered prime rib dinner our first night. It was delicious! The next day, Larry and I explored the area… of course with the usual stop at McDonald’s for breakfast. Fresh flowers on every table, so sweet.
Then we found a short trail that was supposed to go to Cranberry Lake, we never found the lake, but I love taking pictures of pretty things…
And a pretty pattern shot, have no idea why I took this, but hey, my blog, my rules.
The views are incredible and I love the ocean. If it wasn’t so darn cold in the winter, I could live here year ’round.
The weather was beautiful and the area just gorgeous. We would definitely go back again.
